Our rebonded foam machine turns waste PU foam scraps into eco-friendly rebond foam. Learn its 4 core production steps, comparisons with virgin foam & wide industrial applications.
What Is Rebond Foam & How Does a Rebonded Foam Machine Work?
Many customers ofen ask us one question:Is rebond foam simply made by gluing old foam scraps together?
Our answer is no.We use rebonded foam production line to make premium rebond foam. Our rebond foam machines process waste PU foam and factory foam trims into eco-friendly padding materials.
We make rebond foam from recycled PU foam scraps and factory foam leftovers. We make new raw foam with one foaming step only. But we make rebond foam with extra steps: shredding, glue mixing, press forming and drying.

4 Core Production Steps Powered by Rebonded Foam Machine
Step 1: Raw Material Sorting
First,Workers check and separate waste PU foam scraps first. They throw away dirty, moldy or mixed foam pieces. They sort clean foam by density and softness to keep the final foam steady and springy.
Step 2: Foam Shredding
Next,We feed sorted foam into our SR-C03 foam shredder. The machine chops foam into even small bits. We can change the size of foam bits to fit different products, which makes later processing easier.
Step 3: Adhesive Mixing
Then,We send shredded foam bits into the mixing tank of the rebond foam machine. We add special eco PU glue in exact amounts.
The mixer coats every foam piece evenly with glue. This stops the finished foam from splitting, breaking or turning too hard.
Step 4: Compression Molding and Curing
Finally,We heat the glued foam bits with hot steam. The heat lets the glue fully set and kills germs for cleaner foam.
A hydraulic machine squeezes the foam hard. Loose foam bits turn into tight, solid foam blocks. We cool and dry the blocks naturally. The finished foam stays springy, firm and keeps its shape well without sinking or warping over time.

Rebond Foam vs. Virgin Foam
Rebond Foam
Strong support and pressure resistance
Tough against wear
Low cost, eco-friendly
Fits home and industrial use
Virgin Foam
Softer, finer inner pores
Perfect for high-end comfort products
More expensive raw materials
Uses more brand-new resources

Why Global Manufacturers Invest in Our Rebonded Foam Machine
We turn waste PU foam into valuable rebond foam, giving thrown-away foam a new use. This recycling cuts trash sent to landfills, lowers material costs and reduces carbon waste. It helps factories run green and supports circular resource reuse.
Now many industries use rebond foam: sofas, mattresses, sports floors, car interiors, carpet underlay, industrial padding and packaging. All these fields need foam that lasts long, holds shape and costs little.
